I take back my shamrock update.
My bonsai tree has not been getting any better since I’ve had to re-pot it. The shamrocks on the other hand are doing just great. Note: these were not planted, the seeds just found their way in and they haven’t left yet.
I know I posted something similar a few days ago but I’m playing with my lighting and it’s not going all that well.
I found a secret lake. It would be amazing to photograph models here if the hour drive wasn’t followed by a 30 minute hike straight up a mountain and through overgrowth and around mud holes. I was complaining as I neared the lake because my left leg had been consumed in mud but once I stumbled out on to the lake. I was speechless and I remained like that for the 20 minutes I stayed.
Prepping for a shoot can be difficult sometimes. The client might not know what they want. I might not know what I want. I feel I have too many options and not enough options at the same time. I get distracted by needy kitty cats. I have to think about colors, locations, themes. I have to think about parents, siblings, if that specific blanket can go through the washing machine if the baby potties on it. I have to think about lighting and studio set ups. Camera equipment and editing. Packages and contracts. There is so much that goes into getting ready for a shoot and it’s hard work. Yet every time it is totally worth it.
Only problem with this shoot: she hasn’t confirmed and I head out of town in 6 days. If we don’t shoot before I leave, we don’t shoot at all.
This was my other selection for the self portrait competition. I’m pretty happy with how they both turned out.
